Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using https://photosoftaiwan.com and booking our workshops or mentoring services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Services Offered
Photos of Taiwan provides:
- Group photography workshops in Kaohsiung, Taipei, and Tainan
- One-to-one personalized photography mentoring
- Location-based photography experiences across Taiwan
- Post-workshop support including one free hour of online mentoring

Booking and Payment
Workshop Pricing:
- Individual mentoring: $50 USD per hour
- Group workshops: $500 USD per weekend (full-day experience)

Payment Terms:
- Full payment is required upfront to confirm your booking
- Payments are processed securely through PayPal (paypal.me/khazaril or ian@elementalcore.com)
- All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
- We do not currently offer deposits or payment plans

Booking Confirmation:
- Your booking is confirmed once full payment is received
- You will receive confirmation within 24 hours via your preferred contact method (LINE, email, or WhatsApp)

Equipment Requirements
- Participants must bring their own camera equipment capable of manual control and RAW shooting
- "No camera, no course"—we do not provide equipment rental or lending
- Camera brand or model does not matter as long as you can control settings manually

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Please refer to our separate Refund Policy page for detailed cancellation terms.

Workshop Conduct
Participant Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time at the designated meeting location
- Respect cultural sites, especially temples (use correct doors, dress appropriately, behave respectfully)
- Follow safety instructions and stay with the group
- Be respectful to local people and delete images if requested
- Arrange your own transport if arriving late or departing early

Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances:
- Street photography workshops continue in light rain
- In case of typhoons or severe weather, workshops will be canceled or moved indoors for editing tutorials
- We will notify you as soon as possible of any schedule changes

Intellectual Property
- All content on photosoftaiwan.com, including text, images, and videos, is owned by Ian Jukes/Photos of Taiwan
- Workshop materials and Milanote board resources are for personal use only
- You retain full rights to photographs you create during workshops
- We may request permission to use student work for promotional purposes (with credit)

Liability and Insurance
- Photography workshops involve outdoor activities and public spaces
- Participants are responsible for their own safety and belongings
- Taiwan is generally very safe, and we avoid unsafe situations
- We are not liable for loss, theft, damage to equipment, or personal injury during workshops
- Participants are encouraged to have their own travel and equipment insurance

Communication and Support
- We respond to all inquiries within 24 hours

Modifications to Services
We reserve the right to:
- Modify workshop content, locations, or schedules with reasonable notice
- Cancel workshops due to insufficient bookings or unforeseen circumstances
- Update pricing for future bookings

Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Taiwan.

Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
