The humble manhole cover is often overlooked, a mere utility meant to be stepped over. However, in Kaohsiung, these cast-iron discs are transformed into canvases that narrate the city's evolution. In this frame, we see the iconic 85 Sky Tower—its unique pronged design inspired by the Chinese character "Gāo" (高) for tall—standing beneath a burst of celebratory fireworks.
