Day 24/365 – Falcam F38 Backpack Clip Kit V2 Review + Shadow Photography from My Window
Today was one of those days where time was tight. I'm heading to Japan next week for a workshop, so I've been juggling preparation and content creation. But that's the beauty of the 365 project—you find shots wherever you are, even if it's from your own window.
This image was taken directly from my apartment in Lingya District, Kaohsiung. I was looking down at the street below when I noticed something: a shadow cutting diagonally across the frame, intersecting with the crosswalk stripes. The contrast between the geometric lines of the pedestrian crossing and the organic shape of the shadow created exactly the kind of composition I was looking for.
Finding Light in Constraints
Sometimes the best photography happens when you're limited. You can't go far, so you look closer. You can't spend hours scouting, so you observe what's immediately around you. This image is a reminder that great street photography doesn't require exotic locations or perfect conditions—it requires attention.
The shadow creates depth and drama in what could have been a simple overhead shot. It draws the eye across the frame and creates a narrative: someone crossing, light and shadow playing their eternal game, the geometry of urban life.
The Gear
Shot on my Fujifilm X-Pro2 with 18mm-135mm lens. The black and white treatment emphasizes the contrast and the interplay of light and shadow.
