Day 2 in Tokyo – From Temples to Architecture

Today was full of contrasts—quiet corners, tourist crowds, layered city life, and stunning modern architecture.

I started the day photographing near the hotel, letting Tokyo’s rhythm slowly pull me in. From there, I headed to Senso-ji, where tradition and tourism collide. The energy was intense but beautiful—smoke, footsteps, conversations, and fleeting expressions in every direction.

After that, I walked toward Ueno, where the pace felt more grounded. Gritty textures and narrow lanes offered great opportunities for layered compositions.

I finished the day at the Tokyo International Forum—one of my favourite architectural spaces in the city. Light, scale, and movement all come together there.

While shooting, I met Tatsuya Miyoshi of Under the Sun Films. He was working with a model named Rui, visiting from Hiroshima. He graciously allowed me to take a few shots while they were filming—a reminder of how generous the creative community can be. It was a spontaneous but memorable interaction.
