Day 4 in Tokyo – New Faces, New Gear, New Streets
I started the day in Ikebukuro, walking the streets with both the Ricoh GR III and Leica D-Lux 8 slung over my shoulder. Tokyo mornings always feel a bit like opening a book mid-story — the pace is already moving, and you just have to catch up.
Later, I made my way to Shinjuku, where I met a fellow street photographer, @blair.works. He graciously bought me a coffee — proof that Tokyo isn’t just full of energy, it’s full of generosity too. We wandered the area together, cameras in hand, grabbing slices of life as they unfolded around us. It’s always a pleasure meeting someone who sees the world through a similar frame.
Next stop was Bic Camera, where I finally found a USB hub that would keep my workflow running smoother. But I wasn’t done yet — I’d also been looking for a 43mm variable ND filter. Turns out the only store with it in stock was their Yurakucho branch, so I jumped on the train and made the trip.
I ended the day with some quiet shots around the restaurants near the station. Nothing fancy — just ordinary scenes, but Tokyo has a way of making even the mundane feel cinematic.
Gear used: Ricoh GR III, Leica D-Lux 8
