Day 10/365: A Record of Reality – Documenting Life When You're Sick
Day 10 documents a visit to the gastroenterologist in Kaohsiung. No creative focus, no artistic vision—just the reality of maintaining a 365 Project when you're too sick to do anything else.
Day 9/365 Zhongzi Reflections
Playing with reflections at Zhengyi Station in Kaohsiung, where glass surfaces create layered compositions that merge subject and urban landscape into a single frame.
# Day 8/365: Motion and Stillness in the Kitchen
The pot sits patient and still. Around it, hands blur in purpose—preparing, stirring, serving. This is the yearly Halloween tradition at my school's ginger duck hot pot dinner in Kaohsiung.
Day 7/365: Aerial Perspectives at Kaohsiung's Martyrs' Shrine | DJI Mini 3 Pro + Leica D-Lux 8
A visit to Kaohsiung's Martyrs' Shrine—a stunning example of classical Chinese architecture perched on Shoushan mountain. Shot with the Leica D-Lux 8 and aerial intro from the DJI Mini 3 Pro, this day explores the shrine's elegant symmetry, intricate details, and serene courtyard. Plus a bonus NotebookLM video on Digital Asset Management.
Day 6/365: I Let a Random App Tell Me What to Shoot
I'm using a random generator app with 19 different photography prompts. Each photo in today's video is the result of whatever the generator told me to shoot next—Color, Portrait, Shallow Depth of Field, and more. The featured image came from the final prompt: Decisive Moment. Two people sharing street food outside a bakery in Yangcheng, Kaohsiung—completely absorbed in their moment. Day 6 of my 365 photography project.
Day 5/365: Capturing the Photographer at Pier 2
One of my favorite moments from Pier 2: capturing a photographer capturing a family portrait with a beautiful Rolleiflex TLR camera. This image explores the layers of storytelling in photography—the photographer's focus, the family's joy, and the human connection between them. Day 5 of my 365 photography project.
Day 4/365: Ground-Level Perspective at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center
Sometimes the best perspective is the one closest to the ground. This low-angle composition near the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center uses Crocs as a foreground element to create depth and tell a story about scale, daily life, and modern urban landmarks. Day 4 of my 365 photography project.
Day 3/365: The Razor Blade Seller of Yangcheng
Behind every storefront in Taiwan, there's a story waiting to be told. Meet the gentleman who's been selling razor blades in Yangcheng for decades—his warm smile and genuine pride exemplify what makes Taiwan's local businesses so special. Day 3 of my 365-day photography project capturing the people and stories that give Taiwan its character.
Day 2/365: Urban Geometry at San Duo Shopping District | Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Looking up between the layers of Kaohsiung's urban architecture at San Duo Shopping District. This black and white composition captures the contrast between weathered residential blocks and modern structures—a visual dialogue about Taiwan's rapid transformation. Day 2 of my 365-day photography project documenting Taiwan's unique blend of tradition and modernity.
Day 1/365: Intersections at Central Park Station | Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Starting from above at Central Park Station in Kaohsiung, where thousands pass through daily but rarely notice the patterns they create. This black and white composition captures two strangers creating perfect visual balance in geometric space—emphasizing the interplay of light, shadow, and architectural lines. Day 1 of my 365-day photography project documenting Taiwan's streets, culture, and daily life.
